There were big reds, lots of Snapper, Pompano and Trout in the bay.
Winter fishing is here and the fronts are coming through weekly. With the
low winter tides the fish are easy to find in the holes. Call and book soon,

Curtis Sims and his son, Nathan,went fishing in Sarasota Bay today.
Temperatures have been a little cool but the fish are still out there. We
caught Sheepshead, Bluefish, Flounder, and some small Grouper. The
weather is supposed to be getting colder and the Sheepshead should
start spawning soon.

Pete Weitz and his friends from Chicago, just flew in from 20 below
weather. It wasn't much warmer when they got here. It was 37 degrees on
Sarasota Bay when we started our trip. We did manage to find some
Sheepshead. They were just glad to be out of the snow and the brutal
winter they are having up north.

Nathan Habhab From St. Louis, Missouri And his Friend Jon Green went
fishing in Sarasota Bay with me this morning. Fishing started out a little
slow, and as the morning warmed up so did the fishing. There were lots
of Redfish,Sheepshead and Black drum. Book your spring trips early so

Bruce Greiner and his friend Bob went fishing with me this morning in
Sarasota Bay. The deep freeze that we had the week before made the
fish very sluggish. But we did manage to find Sheepshead, Black drum
and Redfish. They headed back to their winter rental in Palmetto for
well-deserved fish fry.

Gaylen Miller and his band of merry men from the midwest midas
muffler division went fishing with me this morning in Sarasota Bay. We
had three boats, to accommodate 10 anglers Capt. Terry, Capt. Greg
and myself.Thing started out slow as water heated up. So did the
fishing we ended up with Sheepshead, Black drum, Trout and Flounder.
For their fish fry on Monday night.

Bruce Godke along with his father Daryl and some close friends went
fishing on Daryl's 80th birthday. I picked them up and we headed into
north Sarasota Bay. It was a little windy. So we stayed on the Lee shore
of the Longboat key. We are using shrimp drifting the channels and
casting at the docks. We manage to catch Redfish and Trout before the
afternoon rains came.

Randy Schlecht and his wife were fishing with me this morning In
Sarasota Bay. Weather conditions were not the best and the wind and
the rain picked up early in the afternoon. We did manage to catch
some nice Sheepshead, Black drum and Randy landed a nice Redfish
that was 26 1/2 inches.

Phil Rhodes and his family went fishing with me on Valentine's Day.
The afternoon was warm and we caught a few fish. The water
temperature has still been very cold, and we had to hunt around to
find some fish. We did manage to find Sheepshead and Redfish.

Brian Fitzgerald and his son Shane From New York went fishing with
me this morning in Sarasota Bay and the Gulf of Mexico. Just off Lido
Key, we manage to land some Sheepshead and some small sea bass.
We came back into the bay and started fishing some docks and
mangroves and landed seven Redfish.

Michelle Cook and her son went fishing in Sarasota Bay today with
Capt. Scott K. Green. The weather is still very chilly, but we did
manage to find some Sheepshead down in the south part of the bay.
The weather will start getting much better now, and the water will
start to warm up.That will increase the fish activity.

Katherine Weyers and her fiancé Michael and her dad Pat at fishing
with me this morning in Sarasota Bay. The winds were down today and
we started looking around for some Sheepshead on the docks. We
found one little spot that was holding some fish. Katherine got things
started, and by the time it was over. She landed 12 fish in about an
hour. Her dad and fiancé did pretty well too.

I was fishing this morning with Dave and Lisa Sylvester and their
friends Bob and Kathy Agley in Sarasota Bay. Last year was Kathy's
first fishing experience, and she could not wait to come back this
year and try again. We caught Sheepshead, Ladyfish, Redfish and
Trout. Kathy hooked and landed a nice trout at 20 inches.

Paul Morrisroe and his son Bart went fishing in Sarasota Bay this
morning with me. The wind was still blowing out of a Northwest, but
we did manage to find some spots out of the wind. We landed Trout,
Black Drum, Sheepshead and Lady fish. The morning was very
successful, and the guys had some fish for lunch.

Kyle Hughes and his son Daniel, along with Conor Quinn and his son
Hunter. Were fishing in Sarasota Bay this afternoon The wind came
up again and was blowing hard out of the Northwest. We caught
Sheepshead and Spanish mackerel.

Rick and Jenny Ihle from Webster City Iowa went fishing in Sarasota
Bay today. It was their first time fishing in our area Rick landed a
very nice sea trout and Jenny had the prize of the day. A small
Bonnett head shark the look on her face was priceless when she
was holding onto it.

John Humphr and his Brother-in-law Trent went fishing this
afternoon just off Lido key, and in Sarasota Bay. The mackerel, run
is on, and they caught a lot of fish. We moved back into the bay and
caught trout and redfish.

Darryl Cochrane along with his son-in-law and grandson. When

Wayne Mock along with his son-in-law and his friend Russell fishing
in the Gulf of Mexico just off siesta key, and in Sarasota Bay. They
caught Spanish mackerel, king mackerel, and we came back in the
bay we caught some pompano.

Michael and Ellen Bronson, along with Gail Webb and Don Pineo
Went fishing in the Gulf of Mexico this morning. There was a little
bit of rain and a bite was on. We caught plenty of Spanish mackerel.
Don came up with the big fish of the day 22 pound king 54 inches
long 18 inches on the girth.

Chase Allen and his friend Paul went fishing this afternoon in
Sarasota Bay. The redfish were hungry, and we managed to land
some nice ones. The King and Spanish mackerel have been thick
along the beaches. The trout are starting to bite nicely and there
are some flounder mixed in with them.

Mike McCandless along with his friends Mike, Joe and Steve
headed into Sarasota Bay For some fun and relaxation. These guys
are true fisherman. The second spot that we went to was the hot
spot eight black drum to 22 inches one 27 inch redfish, and a 16
inch flounder. We also caught some small trout.

Roy Debolt his wife and grandkids went fishing this morning in
Sarasota Bay. The grandkids caught a lot of fish, including large
redfish, and black drum. They were busy sending pictures
through their cell phones. So their mom could see what they
were up to.

Jim Sylvester and his wife Brenda went fishing just off siesta
key in the Gulf of Mexico today. The king fish and Spanish
mackerel bite was very good. After two hours we came back in
Sarasota Bay looking for redfish and trout. Jim caught a very
nice trout in on the flats.

David Williams along with his wife Beverly and her cousin
Matthew went fishing in the Gulf of Mexico today off the
beaches of Sarasota Florida.The Mangrove Snapper bite was

Alan Rayl his wife and two sons Went fishing in Sarasota Bay
this morning with Capt. Scott K. Green. The trout bite was very

Gary Worley his wife, Jodie and son Noah went fishing this
morning with me in Sarasota Bay. The trout bite was on and we
caught about 40 fish in the first two hours. We also caught
flounder, Spanish mackerel and many more species. If you like

Eric Giannaris along with his brother Andrew and his father
Sam went fishing in Sarasota Bay today. Eric is a Capt. in the
Army and It was my honor to take him on this fishing trip. We
caught many trout, Spanish mackerel, and some other species.
Eric had the catch of the day with a smoking big 25 inch trout.

Jodie and the wild Bunch from Texas went fishing in the Gulf of
Mexico off a Lido Beach this afternoon. There was no shortage
of big fish, Ryan landed a nice barracuda that weighed 15
pounds. Jodies daughter landed a nice amber Jack. Scotty
hooked up multiple times, but did not get one to the boat. Jodie
had a fish on for 20 minutes before the line broke. The last fish
that she hooked up, ran 180 yards and spooled the reel.

Ron and Donna Hull along with their daughter Gracie went
fishing in the Gulf of Mexico. Just awful Lido key on afternoon
trip. Gracie caught a nice flounder, but her dad, Ron had to
catch of the day with a nice Goliath grouper.

Wallace and Christie Bartlett long with their kids fishing in
Sarasota Bay on this beautiful Father's Day morning. The
weather was hot, and so was the trout bite. We had 15 fish,
between 15 and 20 inches, and we also had our five fish over
20 inches. It was definitely a Father's Day to remember.

Mark Jirak along with his kids Zach, Anna, Andrew and Joseph
went fishing in Sarasota Bay this morning. There was plenty of
action and the kids were worn out after a few hours. We had 2
Spanish mackerel, 3 bluefish and 17 trout. There were plenty of
short fish that we threw back and the kids could not wait to get
back and go swimming. Dad was going to fire up the grill for a
fish fry later on.

Rhonda and Bob McKinley from Ohio were fishing in Sarasota
Bay this morning. We caught several Trout, Bluefish, Spanish
mackerel, and Mangrove Snapper. Rhonda had the catch of
the day with a 21 inch Trout.

Dale Gardner and his brother from Bradenton Florida went
fishing in Sarasota Bay today. There was some rain, but the
fish were still biting we caught Spanish mackerel, Bluefish
Mangrove Snapper and many more species.

Ed and Daphne Hebert along with their grandkids Zachary and
Mackenzie from Broussard Louisiana. Went fishing in the Gulf
of Mexico off Lido key this morning we caught lots of Spanish
mackerel and Mangrove snapper. We came back into
Sarasota Bay and did some Trout fishing to finish the day off.
Seven-year-old Mackenzie was the angler of the day. She
definitely out finished, the guys.

Scott Grano and his daughter Mikayla Moye along with his  
fiancée Sara Palmer and her son Christopher went fishing in
the Gulf of Mexico today just off Lido key. We caught lots of
Spanish mackerel in the first hour. Christopher caught a
barracuda at 14 pounds and Mikayla caught one at about 7
pounds. We moved back into Sarasota bay, and both kids
caught a 27 inch redfish to finish the day off.

Justin Hensley went on a 4 hour fishing trip just off Lido key
in the Gulf of Mexico and big Sarasota Bay. He caught
Spanish mackerel and a shark off the beach. We went back
into the bay later in the morning and he landed a nice redfish.

Carol Aubry from Ottawa Illinois, along with two of her
children, Brandon and Madison and Brandon's girlfriend,
Haley, went fishing in the Gulf of Mexico just off Lido key
this morning. Haley caught the first fish It was a Spanish
mackerel.We put several fish in the icebox for the fish fry
that they were planning later in the day. We came back into
the bay where Brandon caught a very nice Sea trout. Carol
was very excited as she learned how to cast the fishing pole
and landed her first fish.

Nicholas Stubbs, along with his wife, Stephanie and two
sons Chris and Simon went fishing in the Gulf of Mexico
today just off Lido key. We caught several Spanish

Chris Tardy and his son, Vincent went fishing in Sarasota
Bay today. We caught several mangrove snapper. We also

Tim Mcguire and his sister went fishing in Sarasota Bay
today. There were lots of fish caught, mostly small trout
with some Spanish mackerel lady fish mixed in and Tim
sister caught her first fish today. She said fishing was fun
and maybe she would do it again.

Gary and Jodie Worley Went fishing in the Gulf of Mexico
today. They hooked several shark and Gary had a nice
black tip around 5 feet long. We moved back in to closer
reef and Jodie had to catch of the day with a nice hog
snapper.

Matt Ross, along with his father and his son went
fishing today in Sarasota Bay. It was cloudy, the nice
cool breeze for the Labor Day holiday was just what we
needed to turn the fish on. There were plenty of
Spanish mackerel, and trout all morning and Matt came
away with big Fish for the day. This 24 inch trout.

Jeremy Sloan went fishing in the Gulf of Mexico today.
Just off Sarasota, Florida this morning. We caught
several flounder and a nice barracuda. The weather is
generally great and I've not seen so many flounder in a
lot of years.

Breck and Kortney Bigham went fishing in the Gulf of
Mexico today off of Lido key in the Sarasota area. They
caught nice flounder, grouper and snapper. It was a
beautiful day, and the newlyweds had a wonderful
time together on the water.

Mark Reeves and his friend Steve from the UK were
here on holiday with their families and their wives let
them go fishing for the day. We started just off the
beach and caught flounder, snapper in Spanish
mackerel. We came back into the bay and caught
bluefish and trout was a great day and a guys have a
lot of fun.

off siesta key in the Gulf of Mexico today. The bite
was a little slow so we moved several times. Our luck
changed when we moved into 40 foot water and Jim
landed a Big King mackerel 33 LB.

Ross Galbraith from Sarasota along with his
friends from Wisconsin in Ireland went offshore in
the Gulf of Mexico today. The King fish and
Spanish mackerel bite was on and we battled the
black tip shark for one hour.

Bob Hoffer and the Kentucky gang went out in the
Gulf of Mexico to battle the big fish today the big
Fish won. There were so many sharks in the
water. It was really tough to get fish to the boat.
We did manage to land something King mackerel,
Spanish mackerel, and some Lttle tunny Before
the weather chased us off and back to land.

flounder bite is very good. Amanda was very
